My passion spans over all levels of freshwater ecosystems with particularly strong interests in fish passage and river restoration. My specialist area is freshwater ecosystems.

Some of my experience includes habitat, macroinvertebrate, and fish surveys, eDNA sampling, water quality, ecological impact assessments, ecological opportunities and constraints assessments, and statistical analysis.

My Master’s thesis topic and main area of interest is river restoration and incorporating species interactions to improve ecological recovery. While undertaking my Master’s degree, I gained practical experience as a field assistant with the University of Canterbury, carrying out fieldwork in various freshwater habitats. Upon completion of my studies, I continued as a lab technician at the university, processing both terrestrial and aquatic samples, before joining Boffa Miskell in late 2021.
