Kaitohu Whakawhiti Korero | Communications and media advisor
Business Services
My role is to raise the profile of the company and our consultants with a specific focus on thought leadership articles, media relations, industry awards and social media. This includes the monthly Boffa Miskell newsletter and EQ, the quarterly newsletter for Ecology and Biosecurity. Along with writing for the Boffa Miskell website, I also provide content to external media outlets like Landscape Aotearoa and LG Magazine.
I joined Boffa Miskell in 2017 after twenty-some years as the editor of home-and-shelter, luxury real estate, and design publications – and some early-career forays into advertising, newspaper reporting, and corporate film and event production.
Working alongside creative and passionate designers, scientists and planners is never boring; and I learn something new nearly every day. Finding imaginative and effective ways to share the stories of our people and projects with the wider world is sometimes challenging, but it’s a lot of fun.
Part of the national Communications and Engagement team, I'm based in Auckland. During the week you'll find me answering obscure history and literature questions at the 3pm Quiz and sharing advice on the Oxford comma (good), the passive voice (bad), and whether 'Boffa Miskell' is a singular or plural noun (trust me, it's singular).
Outside of work I usually have a book in one hand, my phone in the other, and two Golden Retrievers on my lap.
