NGAIO PAPA WHENUA | GIS Specialist
Technical Services
I am a geography graduate currently honing my skills in the geospatial realm. I enjoy solving geospatial problems and being able to present those solutions with clear and concise visuals. My current focus is to become proficient in emerging Geographic Information technologies, including Spatial and Image Analysis tools, Field Mobility tools, Data Management, and StoryMaps.
The application of geospatial technology and data is crucial across all disciplines and regions; as a national resource, I aim to increase the profile of GIS and identify how GIS is positioned to benefit the work we do.
I also have ten years of experience in administration, having previously worked in the construction and accounting industries, which has given me invaluable skills such as relationship management and time management. My working style is defined by self-motivation and an enthusiastic, approachable attitude. I enjoy working with others who are also highly motivated and committed to life-long learning.
