I specialise in herpetofauna (lizards and frogs) with over three years’ experience working with lizards. I have a strong passion for lizards and I completed my MSc in Ecology at the University of Canterbury, designing and testing new and current monitoring method for lizards.
I have undertaken many lizard salvage and translocations, biodiversity surveys and population monitoring throughout New Zealand using a variety of monitoring methods including artificial refuges, live trapping, spotlighting, and diurnal visual and manual searches for terrestrial and arboreal lizards and frogs. I have prepared Assessment of Ecological Effects and Lizard Management Plans for renewable energy projects and residential and infrastructural developments. I have also performed ecological surveys and assessments for other terrestrial fauna and flora.
