Kaihoahoa Tūāpapa | Urban Designer
Kaiarataki Matua | Senior Professional

With my prior experience in local government, my projects span spatial planning, master planning, preparing design guides, design reviews and streetscape design. My involvement in this work is both through strategic and graphic input, and I offer a high level of written and visual communication skills. My tertiary qualifications are in law, human geography, planning and design, giving me a strong grasp of the multi-disciplinary nature of our work.

Urban design is a powerful tool to help communities re-imagine their streets and spaces that put people at the heart. Through my role, I am dedicated to designing equitable and climate-resilient urban places.

Outside of work, I like to walk (or bike) the talk and go everywhere by bike or public transport. I know the role our cities play in making these options accessible for more people, and it is the ethos I bring to everything I do.
