Shahad Ameed

I have a diverse portfolio and a passion for creating human-centric communities; and extensive knowledge and thorough understanding of large-scale master planning projects, from concept to detailed master plans, along with the development of associated regulations and guidelines.

My inquiring mind and interest in design across a range of scales drive me to pursue diverse projects. Since joining Boffa Miskell I have contributed to projects including public realm design manual/guidelines, masterplanning including 3D modelling for a range of age care and mixed-use developments and spatial planning at community and neighbourhood scales.

I worked for more than 10 years in Dubai, leading and managing delivery of masterplanning projects across Asia and Africa. My experience includes working on strategic framework plans, designing new communities, and developing housing typologies and urban design guidelines. My diverse set of local and international experience honed through years of working in the field, enables me to approach each project with a fresh outlook while remaining sensitive to the unique characteristics and context of the region.

With my passion for using innovative design solutions to build better communities, I am well-equipped to take on challenging and complex urban design projects.
