Revitalising Christchurch's central city
Boffa Miskell was engaged by the Christchurch City Council to build on the City Lanes Plan (2006), which formed part of the Central City Revitalisation Programme. The Lanes Plan identified the need to develop a lanes inventory, prioritisation tool, and design guide to facilitate and streamline its implementation. This would help to guide Council’s investment and partnering agreements with private developers who were involved in lanes projects. The team consisted of urban designers, landscape architects, planners, architects traffic engineers and GIS/CAD modelling technicians.
