Boffa Miskell was engaged to undertake a Landscape and Visual Assessment as part of a review of the existing Turitea Wind Farm and the consideration of options for potential expansion.

Determining the suitability of the site for expansion of the wind farm required careful consideration of geological, ecological and visual factors. We used GIS software to map the elevation, slope, sun aspect and land-use cover across the site, and prepare a set of maps and figures, which included a constraints analysis. This process enabled quick and accurate identification of problematic areas.
