Landscape Planning advice and reporting to achieve a Commercial Development at Nelson Junction.

NEEDS A HERO IMAGES The client wanted to settle the new commercial development at Nelson Junction into the site with strong pedestrian connections across the carpark linking the existing Mitre 10 area to the new area. Challenges included meeting the client's needs of planting the detention pond and carpark space while also keeping planting low, as to not interfere with views of neighbouring commercial areas.

The client also wanted visual simulations of what the development was going to look like for marketing purposes; and visual simulations of what the stormwater detention pond would look like if planted. We worked through this to produce a planting design for the pond area that would replace what would have otherwise been an open grass detention area.

Expertise involved a wide variety of Boffa Miskell specialists, ranging from choosing the correct plants that would suit the stormwater detention pond, visual simulation aid, to show what the pond would look like from a busy road, and how for neighbouring developments, views would remain open.
