Presented as a pioneering project for exploring stormwater management landscape and ecology values. Croftfield Lane Stormwater Wetland became a significant project. It demonstrates how stormwater wetland designs can provide many community benefits.
The project brief was to deliver a functioning and operable stormwater wetland. As a demonstration project, the design was stripped back. The landscape was back to its pure functions to derive a simple and expressive site geometry. Layer after layer of landscape materials, landform, planting, and structures, enhanced stormwater function. Additionally, providing an expressive landscape that could the public can engage with.
