Protecting and restoring Aotearoa’s ecosystems is what motivates my work day to day. I work across Te Wai Pounamu delivering integrated biosecurity programmes that combine strategic planning with on-ground implementation. Much of my mahi focuses on pest plant management, including large-scale programmes like the LINZ biosecurity project and wilding conifer control. I have experience in pest management planning, biodiversity monitoring, herpetofauna, avifauna, and freshwater fieldwork, contractor coordination, and stakeholder engagement. Delivering practical, effective outcomes is a key focus of my work.

I’m actively involved in both the development and delivery of various biosecurity programmes, working closely with agencies, landholders, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment between strategy and on-the-ground action.

One of the best parts of my job is field work in some of the country’s most distinctive landscapes, including high country basins, native forests, and braided river systems. I really value strong relationships, practical solutions, and mahi that makes a tangible difference for native species and the places they depend on.
