Jos Coolen

I have experience in a wide range of scales of the urban environment, from street and building design to city and regional scale master planning. As an urban designer and urban planner, I have a strong interest in the integration of planning and design and the use of innovative spatial tools in understanding the fabric of our urban environment.

My background in architecture, building and planning has provided me with a sound understanding of the resource management process and the values of working closely together with all environmental disciplines. My key strengths lie in my diverse skillset and thorough analytical approach that allows me to understand and communicate the values that make up the urban and natural environment.

My experience includes delivering a wide range of master planning projects, the development of design guidance and urban design advice in local government policy planning. I bring a high level of analytical thinking to all my projects, using my strong skills in clear and effective spatial and graphic tools of communication.
