Urban or ‘built’ environments are complex. Understanding how to effectively make the right changes with an integrative process to recognise the multiple external influences on places, needs the skill and experience of an urban planner.
I'm a specialist with a combination of strategic planning, spatial design, and master planning training and experience. I've developed sound methodologies for understanding urban environments and the way in which people use them. This understanding provides a solid foundation on which to develop spatial concepts that can catalyse positive change in a place.
I'm often engaged by clients in a ‘master planning’ role to guide the integration of multiple disciplines in urban projects. I'm an experienced and fluent speaker and very comfortable engaging with communities in the often-challenging context of urban change.
I've appeared at Council, Environment Court and Board of Inquiry hearings on many occasions presenting urban planning evidence.
